- How do you calculate lubrication fill cost? Multiply fill volume by lubricant cost per unit and by the share of assemblies that actually get filled to get the variable cost, then add the fixed handling cost. - Why include a fixed fill handling cost? Dispensing, purging air, wiping fittings, and disposing of waste grease take labor and consumables that do not scale with volume.
