  • How do you calculate glass cullet ratio? Divide cullet tonnage by the total batch charge and multiply by 100. With 35 tons of cullet in a 100-ton batch, the raw ratio is 0.35 and the Glass Cullet Ratio is 35%.
  • What is a good cullet ratio for glass? Container glass plants often run 30-60% cullet, and green glass can exceed 80% with clean supply. Flat glass typically runs lower, 10-25%, because of tighter quality limits. The 35% in this example is a solid container-glass figure.
