Industrial Cleaning, Washing & Parts Cleanliness calculator
Fresh Solvent Withdrawal Calculator
Calculate fresh solvent withdrawals from opening stock, receipts and closing stock. Enter all volumes within one reconciled inventory boundary.
What this calculator does
- Reconcile fresh solvent withdrawn from inventory during a stated period.
Formula used
- Available fresh solvent = Opening stock + Receipts
- Withdrawal = Available fresh solvent − Closing stock
- Withdrawal value = Withdrawal × Unit value
Inputs explained
- Opening Fresh Solvent: Opening stock inside the selected fresh-solvent inventory boundary.
- Fresh Solvent Receipts: Receipts during the period after reconciling transfers and returns.
- Closing Fresh Solvent: Measured closing fresh stock within the same inventory boundary.
- Solvent Unit Value: Consistent inventory value per gallon of fresh solvent.
How to use the result
- Best suited to solvent inventory reconciliation, fresh chemical budget reviews.
- Withdrawal is not an emissions estimate or a purchase-spend measure.
Current U.S. benchmarks
- U.S. manufacturing runs at 75.7% of capacity (Federal Reserve, Aug 2026). New factory orders are up 8.5% year over year (Census).
Common questions
- Is withdrawal the amount evaporated? No. Solvent may enter equipment, work in process or waste containers after leaving fresh inventory.
- How are returned quantities handled? Reconcile returns within the receipts and closing-stock boundary before entering the figures.
- Why can closing stock be rejected? Closing fresh stock cannot exceed opening stock plus receipts under this closed balance. Check missing transfers or inconsistent measurements.
- Is withdrawal value the purchase bill? No. It values the withdrawn quantity at your entered unit value; purchases can occur in a different period.
