Industrial Cleaning, Washing & Parts Cleanliness calculator

Washer Output Capacity Calculator

Count complete washer cycles that fit your available production window. Enter the qualified load, occupied cycle time, stopped time and reject assumption.

What this calculator does

  • Plan good-part output from whole washer cycles and an entered reject allowance.

Formula used

  • Complete cycles = FLOOR((Scheduled time − Stopped time) ÷ Cycle time)
  • Planned good parts = Complete cycles × (Loaded parts − Planned rejects)
  • Rejected parts = Complete cycles × Planned rejects
  • Unused time = Available time − Complete cycles × Cycle time

Inputs explained

  • Parts Loaded per Cycle: Whole parts in each qualified washer loading pattern.
  • Planned Rejects per Cycle: Entered reject assumption for each complete washer cycle.
  • Occupied Cycle Time: Full cycle including required loading and unloading occupation.
  • Scheduled Washer Time: Production window measured to 0.001 minute resolution.
  • Planned Stopped Time: Nonoverlapping downtime measured to 0.001 minute resolution.

How to use the result

  • Best suited to washer shift planning, whole cycle capacity checks.
  • Time inputs use 0.001-minute resolution; resulting loaded-part counts are limited to one trillion. Partial cycles do not contribute completed output.

Current U.S. benchmarks

  • U.S. manufacturing runs at 75.7% of capacity (Federal Reserve, Aug 2026). New factory orders are up 8.5% year over year (Census).

Common questions

  • Why is a partial cycle excluded? The model counts completed cycles within the window; a cycle finishing later belongs to another completion window.
  • Are planned good parts guaranteed acceptable? No. The result subtracts your entered reject assumption from each load; actual cleanliness acceptance still requires its qualified controls.
  • Why are finer time entries blocked? The exact whole-cycle calculation uses 0.001-minute ticks. Finer measurements must be reported on that declared software grid.
  • What if every part is rejected? Planned good output is zero while the completed cycle and rejected-part counts remain visible.
