Case Packer Output Rate Calculator
Calculate case packer output from accepted cases and actual producing hours. Use a rate target with the same time and acceptance basis.
What this calculator does
- Measure accepted case output per producing hour and compare it with your target.
Formula used
- Producing output rate = Accepted cases ÷ Producing hours
- Minute rate = Hourly rate ÷ 60
- Rate margin = Measured rate − Target rate
Inputs explained
- Accepted Cases Packed: Whole accepted cases completed during the measured producing window.
- Measured Producing Time: Actual producing hours corresponding to the accepted case count.
- Entered Producing Rate Target: Target on the same accepted-output and producing-time basis.
How to use the result
- Best suited to case packer pace checks, accepted output comparisons.
- Scheduled downtime and future operating changes are outside this measured rate.
Common questions
- Should accepted output be multiplied by efficiency? No. Accepted cases already describe measured good output; another efficiency multiplier would change that observed basis.
- Does this include scheduled stops? No. Use actual producing hours here and compare scheduled-window output separately.
- Can zero accepted cases be reported? Yes. Zero cases over a positive producing window gives a zero rate and a finite target margin.
- Can different case formats be compared? Only with care. Case size and packing pattern can change the attainable rate, so use an equivalent target basis.
