Bottling, Canning & Filling Lines calculator
Filler Output Rate Calculator
Calculate the filler output rate from released containers and actual running time. Enter a target defined on the same running-time basis.
What this calculator does
- Measure released filler output per running minute and compare it with your target.
Formula used
- Running output rate = Released containers ÷ Running minutes
- Hourly rate = Running output rate × 60
- Rate margin = Measured rate − Target rate
Inputs explained
- Released Filled Containers: Whole filled containers released during the measured running window.
- Measured Filler Running Time: Actual running minutes corresponding to the released container count.
- Entered Running Rate Target: Target using the same released-output and running-time basis.
How to use the result
- Best suited to filler running rate checks, production pace comparisons.
- This measured running rate does not include stopped-time losses.
Common questions
- Should stopped time be in the denominator? Use actual running time for this rate. A scheduled-window rate answers a different question.
- Can the count be zero? Yes. Zero released containers over positive running time produces a zero output rate and a finite target margin.
- Does the hourly rate forecast the whole shift? Only if the measured running rate continues. The conversion does not add scheduled stops or future speed changes.
- What if the release count includes another window? Reconcile the count and clock first. Mixed windows do not represent a meaningful measured rate.
